The Charity

Here’s where we could put the official spiel in about the charity, but instead let us tell you why we chose Young Carers at PKAVS.

We’re two pretty normal (well, word would have it) guys from Perth in Scotland. We have normal jobs (Fraser’s a professional photographer and Steve’s an architectural technician) and normal family lives. In short we’re pretty lucky. But through Fraser’s work as a photographer we began to learn more and more about what PKAVS does for Young Carers and, let’s just say, they help young people who are not quite so lucky. Young people who care for their sick or disabled relatives 24/7/365. Young people who don’t enjoy the pleasure of being children. Young people who work hard at school all day and work harder at home at night.

PKAVS makes a big difference to their lives by providing respite care, days out and generally giving them the rare opportunity to be themselves. To be carefree children again. So we see them making a big difference and, quite simply, we want to help.
