The Route

9 countries, 3 days and 2 men (and possibly a couple of Mars Bars).

We’ll be starting our official journey on 14th August, leaving Perth on 12th August to catch the ferry to Zeebrugge.

Now it’s well known that men don’t like asking directions, and for those of you looking at the route in great wonder, you may be asking yourself: why are they not taking the most direct road to Etna?

Well the answer is simple. It wasn’t that we couldn’t read the map, or that we had an accident with the ball point pen when we were planning the route, but that we wanted to make this challenge something special. So, to fit in 9 countries in 3 days, we’ve had to do a bit of zig-zagging.

We start from Belgium, on to the Netherlands, head south to Luxembourg, pop over into Germany, say hello to the lovely Lichtenstein, say bonjour to La France, head further south to Switzerland (nice cheese), over the border into Austria before making our way to Italy. Va bene!
